What about the other options?
Other than my Ultimate PC Repair courses, you have three basic options when faced with computer problems:
Option 1: Try and Solve the Problem Yourself
You could adopt the “Gung Ho” approach. Go onto forums and websites to find the information. Go inside your PC and play around with unfamiliar parts you don’t fully understand.
If you get lucky, it might work.
This is your cheapest option, but it's also your most dangerous. Many a computer with nothing more than minor problems has found its way to the landfill with this approach.
Option 2: Hire a PC Technician
If you were to hire me to come and fix your computer, it would cost you well over $65 per hour, and that's a bargain.
In a few hours your computer would be fixed, but there are no guarantees that you won’t experience other problems in the future.
Choose this route and you’ll never get to know the inside of your PC and will have to shell out more money through the years.
Option 3: Buy a New Computer
You could always just throw your computer out the window and buy a new one. But before you do that, you might want to consider the case against buying a new computer.
Contrary to what many of the computer sellers will tell you, it’s not necessary to buy a new computer every couple of years. By taking good care of your PC and performing effective maintenance, you can prolong the life of your PC greatly.
Buying a new machine is the impulsive, irresponsible option. But by all means, take it, if you must. Just be warned, the short journey from the store to your house will see your computer depreciate in value exponentially.
