When you think may have a virus on your computer
its important to find and destroy the virus before it
can cause problems.Having anti virus software
installed on your computer is no doubt the first line
of defense for your computer.

Strange and unusual computer behavior is a sure
sign of virus infection.Peculiar graphics or messages
appearing,an increase of data in files,the reduction
of file data,and the deletion of random files are
symptoms of an infected computer.Take the time
to learn how to easily recognize virus infection to
not only protect your own PC,but to help others
keep their systems virus free.

It simply cannot be overemphasized on just how
important it is for you to invest in anti virus software.
In most cases,we think that it will be the other person's
computer to catch that new virus.So we plan to buy
anti virus software eventually but eventually never
seem to come.Even the smallest virus will damage
your computer so invest about $50 for either of the
following software.

After purchasing anti virus software,take the time to
visit their web site to be certain you have current
patches and updates.Norton's Anti Virus installs on
both FAT and NTFS systems and protects your PC
from virus as well as find and repair infected files to
keep your data secure.

This software scans outgoing email attachments for
worms and send alerts before you send files that may
be infected.Use Norton's Auto Protect feature which
loads into memory when Windows starts.The software
check files you download and use from cdroms or
floppy disks to ensure constant virus protection.

McAfee's VirusScan Home Edition,at normally $49.95
boxed or downloaded at http://www.mcafee-at-home.
com consist of VShield.This automatic file protection
feature check files every time you access them.HAWK
or Hostile Activity Watch Kernel checks for strange
file behavior and detects any bad codes,worms,or
viruses.And with their Instant Update feature,you
can stay on top of most new viruses that may appear
and prevent any infection.

Command Anti Virus at about $25,may not be as
well known as Norton's software but its easy to use
interface makes it a good choice for the home PC
user,especially with its quick scan option.

PC-cillin is another choice for your virus protection
needs.This software contains many of the same
features as the more popular software but is just
a little pricey.

Etrust's EZ Anti Virus at about $20 is for us budget
minded PC users and is easy to install and use.It
monitor the PC scans files as they are installed om
your system.But keep in mind that you get what
you pay for.It may be worth the investment to buy
the EZ Armor Suite with its utilities such as a good
Firewall and EZ Deskshield which watch for strange
behavoir with your email.

These anti-virus software will be a great help in
keeping your computer healthy.You can do a
search for virus software on your favorite search
engine and come up with other choices.But in any
case,investing in virus software now can and will
help you avoid PC breakdowns,file loss,and hard
drive crash in the future.
