When you take a look at the rear of your computer, you'll
see many ports used to connect devices to your system.

The mouse, keyboard, monitor or scanner are just a few
of the many devices that connects to your computer with
the aid of ports.

Ports are connector used to external devices and cables
to the motherboard. And most newer systems will now
have ports in the front as well, making connecting other
peripherals easier.

As if understanding such components as the motherboard
,hard drive or the modem inside your computer were not
anough to understand. Now you want to fully understand the
meaning and purpose of those connectors at both the front
and rear of your system unit.

Here is a guide you can use to both understand and see what
the various types of computer ports look like. When viewing
these ports,be sure to look at your system and locate each
port mentioned.

peripherals to the computer. You can purchase USB cards
which installs in an empty PCI expansion slot. This card
will allow the installation of 4 or 5 other devices to your
system without having to install additional adapter cards.

and the keyboard to your computer.

the system unit. The Monitor connector is plugged into

and completely understand the ports may seem dull, its

will save you both wasted downtime and money.Boost
your computer skills by understanding ports as well as any
other component or device you don't understand.
